Prayer Of Hope's Christian Fiction Reviews

The Baby Rescue which was written by Margaret Daley is part of the Love Inspired Witness Protection Series which is written by different authors. The Baby Rescue is about a baby that was kidnapped in a baby smuggling ring. U.S. Marshall Colton has to partner up with(against his will of course) with the beautiful F.B.I. Agent Lisette. They both have past hurts that keep their feelings for each other at bay at the beginning. Although Baby Rescue has a Romantic flair to it, the story line does not detract from the suspense and thrill of finding the middleman in the smuggling ring as well as the baby. This story definitely involves God love and how he is always with us even if we feel he is not quite in earshot. They both had to literally step out on faith and not only trust each other but put their faith and trust in God. I love how the Author created flashbacks within the story giving you the background of both the main characters in a way that you never got lost. Most Authors set up flashbacks within their storyline that makes it so that you never know when you are back in the present or still in the past. It was great to see some of the characters from A Melody For James make cameos throughout the storyline. You see the relationship not just between nick and Aria but also between nick and his own father begin to heal after years of hurt that went deeper than even the physical pains. Aria a pianist turned nuclear engineer was suppose to be "handled" by Nick but in turn he helps her in away that it could have only been orchestrated by God. So the Question is will past hurts get in the way of doing God's will? Will Aria be able to cope with seeing a man she thought she buried years ago suddenly appearing in her life? I do not usually read self-help, Do you know God, type books whether christian or not but I decided to give this book a try the title is what caught my attention when the author asked me to choose a book to read. I thought A life of Gratitude sounds catchy. So I read it. Below is my review. God Bless,  Prayerofhope The Author starts out with an introduction that gives major insight on not only who they are but how this book came about. This intrigued me because I for one love when Authors don't just talk about but be about it meaning if they wrote a book on 30 days of fasting I would hope they know what it entails from experience and not just something to put down on paper for a book deal. Author Shelley Hitz have lived "A Life of Gratitude". I love how she let us know she went through a transitioning season but now is prepared for gratitude and thankfulness. Now to the meat and potatoes of the book. Day #1 talks about the 21 Days of Gratitude and what that means. ...

This book is considered Historical Fiction.  I love how it interweaves flashbacks tying together lose ends that you would never have thought were there. A reporter is sent to take the memoirs of an old southern woman who it turns out she is in relation to him although he is African American.  As you read through the different parts of this story you will see how some tension still remains even as this reporter tries to dig deeper into his own family background not knowing that he is in the center of it all. It tells how God shows mercy and redemption while also healing family bonds. I pray that your soul is blessed as you read through Author Tracey Bateman's book The Color of the Soul and in return maybe you may want to go beyond what is in front of you to the God-point of the novel.
