A Harmony for Steve by Hallee Bridgeman

While reading this book the first thing that came to mind was a scripture. That scripture, in my opinion, sums up this whole entire book. That scripture is Ephesians 6: 12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."(KJV).

Hallee manifests spiritual warfare into flesh. We see Harmony and Steve have to battle against the spiritual wickedness which is a battle for the ages.

Harmony is a Christian artist who crosses over into the Pop. Her family worries that the world will influence her but she stands firm in her belief that God is leading her to sing the songs she sings in the venues she sings them. Steve is a rockstar and the lead singer of a group whose name literally means Hell. You would think they would never cross paths, however, at a benefit concert in California they literally bump into each other backstage. This starts a journey that will test them both mentally, physically, and spiritually.

As I read this book, I started to ponder the battles we face every day as Christians and how sometimes the world will not let us be great. The world continues to bring up our past when we are trying to be a new creature in Christ. Making it difficult to stay on the right path. Through Steve's story you will see that same world try and do the same to him but with the help of Harmony and some old faces from the previous books in the series you will see him overcome the world through the help of God, family, and friends.

*round of applause* to Hallee Bridgeman for ending this series on a wonderful high note. At first, I was not sure where this book was going but I am so glad I didn't stop reading.

Sadly though, this ends the Song of Suspense series and we get to say farewell to "old friends"!
