Serena Wilcox Mysteries: Books 1,2 &3 by: Natalie Buske Thomas

I stumbled on this futuristic styled series a few nights ago and I do not regret purchasing it. It is a unique Genre but still Christian Fiction. The first book int he series is Called Gene Play and basically the author takes you on a journey that touches on premarital sex which results in a pregnancies which plays a major part in an elaborate con that will leave you speechless!! As you read Gene Play you will see how those who you thought were legit really are crooked. I love how the author weaves the story in a away that you as the reader can relate and feel as though you are right in the thick of things.

Which leads right into the Second book in the series, Virtual Memories, where your reality might just be fantasy. I love how the characters form the first book rolls over into Virtual Memories. We see the different dynamics of the main character, Serena Wilcox, as she uses her skills to solve the case.

Finally, The last book in this collection, Camp Conviction, shows how God let our trials, dangers, and tribulations become our testimony and ultimately our strength to overcome any obstacle.


So I truly hope you decide to read this series because although it is not your typical fiction novel you will not feel disappointed but eager to see what happens next!!!

While reading this book the first thing that came to mind was a scripture. That scripture, in my opinion, sums up this whole entire book. That scripture is Ephesians 6: 12 " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."(KJV). Love's Eternal Breath by Naomi Rawlings

After Reading the 4th installment in the series, Love’s Eternal Breath…all I can say is..bravo. I loved it from beginning to end…The unexpected twists and turns especially when the odds are against Lindy, she thinks she is dying like her mother and she can't trust doctors any more, but she was steadfast, charitable, and just an all around wonderful woman. She overcame so much and was able to take a breath that lasted a lifetime indeed especially with Seth. The town was very interesting. Like any rural area everyone knows everyone and the old time doctor is the one that is trusted. It was the same in the book except the good old doc had a challenger in Seth. I love how God was with both Seth and Lindy helping to guide them on their journey. I love hwo this book showcases Love truly does heal all especially with God in the mix. Flight of Faith by Hallee Bridgeman

In the 7 th installment of the Virtues and Valor series we see a somewhat conclusion occur, although later the 8 th installment rounds up this series. We are introduced to Helen Mulberry codenamed Faith who is a young American pilot. She has spunk, a kind heart, and a will that is amazing. Through out her story you see her mature and come into her own. She truly has a heart of gold that makes you fall in love with her character.  Just so you are prepared…you will need a pack of tissues at the ready for Chapter 8. It caught me off guard but in away that was truly needed. A lot that happened in the other novellas(1-6) comes full circle. You will cry tears of joy and sadness then tears of joy again! In the end you see everyone come together, you see identities revealed, who each were before the war began and code names given. Valor's Vigil by Hallee Bridgeman

This is the 8th and final book the Virtues and Valor series. Although I had a little trouble reading through this book, I did enjoy learning more about the other characters through Valor's point of view and learning more about Valor's family and upbringing.  In this book you get more background on Charlene Radden who we discover is actually married to Leopold Schafer codenamed Valor's father. Their storyline in the prologue was definitely intriguing! Throughout the book you get glimpses of the toll Valor's cover had taken on him. You also see how Valor overcomes those challenges in order to do what needed to be done to assist in ending the war. You also get to know the Virtues better and the men who assisted them during their undercover work. I love how Hallee in the Epilogue gave us a more in depth look at how Temperance was effected during her time as a Prisoner of War. Valor's story put to rest a lot of unanswered questions that may have came to your mind
